Our In-home Childcare vs a Larger Daycare Facility:

You might be wondering why it would be better to go with a smaller in-home childcare provider instead of a larger daycare facility. Well I have some answers for you! As an in-home childcare provider, my responsibilities are quite different and these differences can be summed up as, "Gary and I do everything."

What is everything you ask? The two of us handle administration work; bookkeeping; meal and snack preparation and distribution; preparing and providing the entire curriculum such as reading, role-playing, arts and crafts and playtime; as well as the janitorial work and up keep of our home without charging you extra. A daycare facility has more staff available to break down these roles into separate groups so their attention is more focused on one particular component to the system.

But how does this make in-home care better if there are less staff members? Having less staff doesn't mean lower quality facilities or attention to the children. It is quite the opposite. Our in-home childcare offers your child or children a home atmosphere with familiar family settings and people groups. Your child will make closer friendships by being in a more familiar, smaller group setting. This is also a plus to keep the spread of germs and exposure to colds at a minimum. We will provide your child with more one on one interaction and attention, loving them as if they are our own and not treating them as just another number in the crowd of kids in a daycare facility. Their staff members are focused on one particular component, meaning if it doesn't have to do with their job title, they don't care about it. Most facilities will not do any laundry and when the "cafeteria" closes is it closed. We care about your children, their safety and well-being and we are here to be like you, that is: provider, caretaker, friend and comforter, even if that means we need we to do a little extra "dirty work" or hand out a second snack to keep their energy up.

We have a structure and curriculum that gives us the ability to make the day flexible to meet the needs of our children in care, breaking up the regiment some centers fall into, even if that means going to the park because it is a beautiful day! Here, children of different age groups are blended together and can learn from each other. We are also open more hours and some holidays and we are willing to work with you on a schedule that suit us all. And last but not least, I believe that because we are based on traditional biblical and family values, your children will grow and learn respect for themselves and others!
